What is Eat and Play Card?
In recent years, travel suppliers of all types have begun leveraging ancillary products to add value and drive incremental revenue. Eat and Play Card is positioned for just that purpose.
Eat and Play Card is a vacation savings program, uniquely designed to meet the wants and needs of leisure travelers, and, fully positioned as a source of added value for the travel trade. We enrich people’s vacation experiences by providing card holders with exclusive access to huge savings across the full range of in-destination vacation expenses: dining, attractions, entertainment, shopping and more.
How it’s different
Months of research identified 10 flaws common to other savings programs (including coupons) that leisure travelers find unappealing and limit their appeal and use. Designed to mitigate each of these flaws, Eat and Play Card was developed with the typical leisure traveler in mind. The “anti-coupon”, Eat and Play Card is everything a coupon wishes it was.
We focus on building the program around the household names and local favorites people love to seek out on vacation, such as Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Reebok, TGI Friday's, McCormick and Schmick’s, Denny's, Tony Roma’s, McDonald’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Guggenheim Museum, Central Park Zoo, Radio City Music Hall, Chicago The Musical, and Ripley’s Believe it or Not, just to name a few. We have no blackout dates, no age restrictions and entirely % discounts off of the total bill (for up to 4 people), and thus, unlimited savings potential. People can use it as often as they like over the entire duration of their vacation. Just show it and save. There is no other program like it.
A quick history
Our first destination – Orlando – launched in January, 2010. Within less than one year, it grew from 0 to 83 to over 140 participating locations. It has more participating national brands and venues than any other program, currently has distribution in eight countries and counts some of the world’s largest travel brands as channel partners, including Travelocity, GTA by Travelport, ATD Travel Services, Meier’s Weltreisen and Thomas Cook.
In May, 2011 we launched our second destination – New York City – in partnership with NYC’s premier sightseeing and tourism company. More up-market than the Orlando program and co-branded “The Gray Line New York Eat and Play Card”, it introduces Broadway shows to the merchant mix and includes some of NYC’s finest dining and entertainment establishments.
